To put it simply, we love the wild.
Not just the big, remote, once-in-a-lifetime kind. The wild that’s close enough to notice every day.
We garden. We swim in the ocean. We walk in the bush, wander through wetlands, look under leaves, stop for birds, photograph things we can’t identify and inevitably end up trying to work out exactly what we’ve just seen. We are happiest outside, paying attention.
We make graphic tees for backyard naturalists, wildlife spotters, bird people, bug people, frog people, plant people, citizen scientists, professional scientists, photographers, taxonomy nerds, field-guide obsessives and anyone who gets disproportionately excited about spotting something interesting close to home. Our designs draw on scientific illustration, old naturalist clubs, field guides, species identification, outdoor hobbies and the particular satisfaction of recognising what you’re looking at
They’re made for slow walks, field trips, garden days, rock pools, bush tracks, neighbourhood wandering and everyday life. A quiet nod to the wild places, plants and creatures that make us happiest.
Made to be worn
We choose quality cotton tees for their comfort, durability and lived-in feel. Soft, substantial and made for repeat wear, they’re the kind of shirts that only get better with time. Each design is printed to order, helping us avoid producing unnecessary stock.
Nearwild is a family-owned small business, designed in Sydney and printed to order in the United States.
